The Monthly General Meeting (MGM) in July was warmly hosted at the Residence of the Ambassador of Botswana. Our sincere thanks go to our wonderful host, Mr. Victor Molosiwa, spouse of the Ambassador of Botswana and the DSA Treasurer, who generously opened the doors of his home and showed us the richness of Botswanan culture, traditions, and hospitality.
Members enjoyed a truly memorable afternoon in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, discovering the tradition and culture of Botswana from the introductory speech by our host. A highlight of the event was a culinary presentation of Botswana cuisine traditional specialties.
The meeting also gave us an opportunity to bid a heartfelt farewell to our dear members, Mrs. Anette Czagany, DSA Membership Coordinator, as well as Mrs. Prisca Fanny Namathanga and Mrs. Rut Kpasaba, wishing them every success and happiness as they embark on their new journeys.
The DSA special guest at the event was Dr Petina Gappah, a celebrated novelist, writer and creative whose works have been translated into dozens of languages and honored with numerous prestigious awards. She presented to the audience the books she has written, the plays she has brought to the stage, her lifelong passion for books and libraries, and the creative foundation of which she is the founder and director.
The President concluded the meeting by thanking all members for their continued dedication and encouraging everyone to remain actively involved in the following activities relating to the preparation of the DSA main yearly event – Bazaar 2026.
The afternoon concluded with a group photo session followed by a delicious traditional Botswanan lunch, featuring a variety of authentic specialties.
Once again, our heartfelt thanks go to Victor and all other members of the Botswana Embassy, who contributed to organizing such a wonderful gathering. It was a beautiful celebration of friendship, culture, and the spirit of giving that defines the DSA community.
