In response to an urgent appeal from the Zimbabwe National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ZNSPCA), the Diplomatic Spouses Association (DSA) recently delivered essential pet food supplies to support animals in need.
ZNSPCA, Zimbabwe’s leading animal protection charity, operates kennels and catteries in Harare and across other cities. The organization plays a vital role in rescuing abandoned animals, providing medical care, and finding them safe, loving homes. Following a recent fire at their charity shop—their primary source of fundraising—ZNSPCA has been facing significant shortages in food supplies.
On Saturday, the DSA contributed the following items to the ZNSPCA office on Enterprise Road:
- 4 × 1.75 kg Catmor bags
- 6 × 1.5 kg Catmor bags
- 2 × 8 kg Bobtail bags
In addition, a total of 10 cat food packs and 2 large dog food packs were delivered as part of this donation effort.
The DSA was represented by Mrs. Carola Zardo (Welfare Coordinator) and Mrs. Humaira Qazi (Fundraising Coordinator). The association extends its sincere appreciation to Humaira Qazi for organizing this initiative.
