The DSA-ZW is a voluntary, non-profit network of diplomatic spouses in Zimbabwe, who join together to support charitable causes and community welfare projects across the country.
Membership is open to spouses of diplomats accredited to Zimbabwe, including ambassadors, high commissioners, and heads of missions. Participation is voluntary and non-partisan.
The association focuses on charitable work in areas like education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and cultural preservation. Recent efforts include support for local schools, community health initiatives, and product bazaars showcasing Zimbabwean crafts.
Projects are typically chosen based on local community needs assessments, recommendations from embassy staff, and collaboration with partner organizations. The goal is to make a meaningful impact on vulnerable or underserved groups.
Participation is primarily through diplomatic spouse members. However, individuals and organizations interested in supporting initiatives can contact DSA-ZW directly via their Facebook page or email to explore collaboration.
Yes — the organization occasionally hosts community events and bazaars (such as for cultural crafts), usually open to embassy communities and the public. Updates and invitations are shared on their Facebook page.
