– DIPLOMAT OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2026 –

Organized by Diplomat Media and the Diplomat Business Networking Club, under the theme “Diplomacy in Action, Impact in Motion,” a ceremonial gala was held on March 25 in Harare, where awards were presented for the Diplomat of the Year across several regional categories, as well as for Outstanding Contribution to Diplomacy in the category of Implementing Partners / UN Missions / NGOs.
Among several Ambassadors honoured in the Diplomat of the Year category, Mrs. Mirjana Grujić, President of the Diplomatic Spouse Association (DSA), received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Diplomacy.
In her remarks of gratitude, she emphasized that this valuable recognition also belongs to all members of the DSA, as well as to all partners, sponsors, and donors whose contributions and dedication have helped the Organization make everyday life better and more beautiful for those who lack the necessary conditions and opportunities.
She noted:

“Every award is meaningful and demonstrates that dedication and effort are always recognized and valued, but it is also an obligation and a reminder to continue with strong will and even greater motivation toward fulfilling our goals and achieving even greater results. Only together—through mutual respect and understanding—we can achieve the highest goals and fulfil the most valuable mission entrusted to us.”

She concluded her speech with a key message:

“Therefore, let us stand united. Let us be who we truly are—human beings. Let us extend our hands to one another and unite our hopes, faith, and abilities in shaping a better, more humane, and more peaceful world.”
