DSA Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2025 – Letter of Appreciation
Dear friends, guests and visitors,
I would like to express the DSA gratitude to all of you for a valuable contribution, visible presence and active participation on the DSA Third Annual Diplomatic Charity Bazaar, held on Saturday, 25 October 2025 at the Old Georgians Sports Club in Mount Pleasant, Harare.
From my point of view, also in accordance with an enviable number of messages and comments we received in the meantime, it was an amazing event, which showed solidarity, respect, unity, tolerance and humanity. For my new team, it was also a first experience and my apologies if something was occurred wrong or unpredictable. We will do our comprehensive analysis and prepare inputs for the next year much better and detailed.
In our preliminary analysis and conducted survey during the last two weeks, we got undivided impressions that such a vibrant event has already became a highlight on the city’s social calendar. The most important picture, being seen during the last Saturday in October on the field of Old Georgians Sports Club, was ONE of togetherness and connectivity of the diplomatic community, local businesses and visitors, with the sincere motivation for the charitable giving and entertaining the youngest with specially designated corner on the field.
With our Parade of Nations, musical and cultural programme performing by excellent young local and international artists and leading by the iconic MC and her talented successors, an amassing and sounded atmosphere all around the Mount Pleasant has been created. We were presenting, at the same time, the variety of colours, cultures, cuisines, music, dances and songs, and challenging the guests and visitors, as well as participants, to constantly move around the world through ONE village streets with stalls and shops by exploring the smelt, taste and testimonies of creativity and skills, still staying in Harare and dreaming with open eyes of the adventures and hidden places showed there by the Embassies.
According to the our updated information, and based on the preliminary public consideration and media evaluation already given to the DSA, our Bazaar 2025 was a great success, surpassed all the numbers from last year and again raised the bar to a new height that we will really struggle to surpass next year.
With 23 Embassies participate with stalls and 26 in the Parade, around 30 sponsors and partners, as well as more than 70 vendors, again we reached the number of around 160 stalls, and jumped to 1,900+ attendees-guest from both, the local and diplomatic community, within them minimum one quarter were our dear kids and respectful seniors.
Together with all those mentioned figures, I have to underscore the most important fact – all sponsorships, stalls fees, riffles and tickets sales, collected together, will proceed directly to the DSA Fund for charity projects across Harare we already taken. We are so glad and honoured that so many people recognized the charity pretext and humanitarian approach and decisively helped us to support our launched initiatives – hospitals and social houses renovations, educational programs for vulnerable categories and empowerment projects for marginalised groups of women and children.
With the impression and experience from the Bazaars 2023, 2024 and 2025, I do not have any doubt that we will continue strongly in the same direction, following further one imperative goal we almost fulfilled – to unify diversity in ONE and to go one more step forward and Play for Humanity, what would be our next moto and the DSA noble mission main focus.
To conclude here by saying that, with all of you on board, being the guests, visitors, participants and performers, we made the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2025 a memorable success, also proved again that diplomatic community, unified in diversity and creativity, together with the local businesses, charities and vendors, can deliver a unique picture of the world of solidarity, humanity and dignity, presented here to the host country.
I would appreciate the possibility to stay in touch with all of you, as our door is open for suggestions, proposals, and experience sharing, as well as photo/video evidence you can see in our Gallery.
My warmest regards,
Mirjana Grujic
