Celebration of International Women’s Day

The DSA celebrated International Women’s Day under the UN slogan “Give to Gain,” a motto that perfectly reflects the mission and the most important goals of our organization. Thanks to the owner of St. Tropez Hotel, Mr. George Katsimberis, who made a excellent contribution to the organization of the celebration by providing the venue, the ceremonial hall, and generous catering. DSA members, together with guests – the diplomatic corps representatives, sponsors, and partners – enjoyed a rich and meaningful program.

The event was masterfully hosted by the amazing MC, our dear Zaza – Zazalicious, and included a tour of the hotel complex and apartments, a musical performance by the local band Vee Mhofu – Mucheka Weretso, who performed traditional music on the mbira, as well as a wonderful raffle.

We were proud to have as our distinguished guests the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, the Women Ambassadors of Cuba, Greece, and Tanzania, as well as the Deputy Ambassadors of Botswana and Kenya. In addition, our dear guests included the Ambassadors of Malawi, Brazil, India, and Serbia, along with other diplomats, all attending as spouses of our members. It was truly inspiring to listen to presentations by successful and strong women who give all of us additional strength for the work we do.
We thank St. Tropez Hotel for their hospitality, the wonderful vouchers that delighted the winners, and for all the other benefits provided on that day.

Our sincere thanks also go to Patric Mavros for the donation of jewelry from the Vakadzi collection (the Shona word for women), House Of Book for the valuable books Vision of Zimbabwe and Zimbabwean Art, First Capital Bank for the beautiful hamper bag, Hippo Studio for unique handmade bowls, Curves for a gym voucher, Mutombo Teas for a tea collection, as well as Zarephath Group for 10 vouchers for specialist gynecological examinations, all those nice gifts for raffle winners.

This unforgettable event will give all of us further motivation in our work and the strength to continue supporting one another in the pursuit of success and the well-being of all women and our entire community.
