ZITF 2026 DIPLOMATS’ COOKOUT SHOWCASE AND DSA DIPLOMATIC COOKBOOK PROMOTION

At the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo, in Amai’s Traditional Kitchen Hub, on 23 April was held an unique event – the Diplomatic community, represented by the Ambassadors and spouses cooked and presented their traditional culinary specialties in collaboration with the Champion of Gastronomy, Her Excellency Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, who was honored by the UN Tourism organization with the prestigious title of Queen of Gastronomy in Africa.

It was an excellent promotion of cultural exchange and diversity through food and culinary traditions, fostering mutual respect among participating nations and host country. At the same time, sharing the cooking culture, traditional national heritage and healthy leaving way, the Diplomats` Cookout competition proofed again that food continues to speak a universal language of unity, peace, friendship and understandings.

The President of the DSA, Mirjana Grujic, as a leader Chef of the Serbian Embassy cooking team, by preparing two Serbian traditional culinary specialties based on the recipes from the DSA Cookbook, promoted at the same time diversity and uniqueness of our Organization, truly reflected at the “colourful” and “tasteful” culinary Book of 103 recipes from 43 nations.
