Diplomatic Spouses Association of Zimbabwe announces a Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2025: A Celebration of Diversity in Culture and Unity in Charity in Harare

The Diplomatic Spouses Association in Zimbabwe (DSA) would like to remind you about the third edition of the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar 2025, an international event that brings together the diplomatic community, local Zimbabwean citizens and businesses, as well as visitor around in a celebration of culture, diversity, and goodwill.

The Bazaar will take place on Saturday, 25 October 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Old Georgians Sports Club in Mt Pleasant, Harare.

With the participation of the Embassies already registered till today, like Botswana, China, DRC, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Indonesia, Mozambique, Malawi, Nigeria, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, Serbia, Turkey, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates, and others who gave to the DSA great support in a preparation – Brazil (unfortunately cannot participate for understandable and justified reasons), Indonesia and Palestine (who will participate), as well as some of them who will participate only at the Parade – India, the Bazaar promises an unparalleled cultural experience. Each Embassy will present a variety of country-specific specialties, including traditional foods and beverages, handicrafts, clothing, souvenirs, national costumes and folklore uniforms, offering attendees the chance to see, sample and purchase items from across the globe without leaving Zimbabwe.

This unique event is open to the public and offers an opportunity to explore the world, savour international cuisine, and experience the traditional costumes and cultural expressions of different nations through the vibrant and diverse stalls of the Embassies. Some may even have the chance to be personally greeted or served by an Ambassador or his wife, also the president of the DSA!

In addition to the Embassy stalls, local Zimbabwean business companies, vendors, social and non-governmental organisations, artists, craftsmen, and restaurant and cafeteria food/drink stalls will be present, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The day will also feature a full stage entertainment program with performances throughout the day by the famous and young artist who want to present themselves and support the charity work. Families are welcome, and there will be a kids’ corner with activities to keep children entertained while parents enjoy the cultural offerings, food tasting, and lottery playing and shopping.

The event will kick off with a Flag Parade, where representatives from the participating Embassies will proudly display their national flags to mark the opening of the Bazaar.

Visitors will also have the chance to buy raffle tickets at the DSA stall, with exciting prizes to win, such as, for an example – Patrick Mavros jewellery (confirmed), and many other wonderful prizes up for grabs, currently coming to the DSA office from the Embassies and other sponsors representing the traditional art, unique books, hotels accommodation, stays at top lodges in Zimbabwe or private tented camps, as well as expecting flight tickets.

The Diplomatic Charity Bazaar is not just a cultural celebration, but a charity event as well. All proceeds from the DSA’s participation will go toward supporting various charitable projects across Zimbabwe, making a real impact on communities in need.

The entry fee for the Bazaar is $5 for adults, while children under 12 and seniors over 75 can enjoy free admission.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our First Platinum Sponsors, ARIPO, while hoping on additional in a following days.  We would also like to thank our Gold Sponsors, namely Hyatt Regency Harare the Meikles, Zarepath Group (leading by dr Masya), also Silver and Bronze Sponsors – Kefalos, Medicity Clinical Laboratory, AGS, Therapy Pro, and many others who are processing their registration, as well as our Diamond partnersOld Georgians Sport Club, Diplomat Media Group, Safeguard Security and Venlia, for their invaluable support in making this event possible.
