The recent Certificates Awarding ceremony at Ondine’s Kitchen Hub celebrated the achievements of young women who successfully completed a comprehensive course in household and culinary skills. This impactful pilot project, operating under the Lynde Francis Trust, has been supported by the Diplomatic Spouses Association (DSA) of Zimbabwe. During the program, 8 participants received intensive, hands-on training from 5 outstanding trainers in international cooking, preparing them for diverse roles in the hospitality sector. Beyond the kitchen, the curriculum focused on professional housekeeping standards to ensure the graduates are well-equipped for formal employment. The training also integrated vital community skills such as home gardening, recycling, and organizing neighborhood clean-ups. DSA was represented by Humaira Qazi ,Fund Raising Coordinator,Carola Zardo ,Welfare Coordinator and Mrs Paulina,wife of Namibian Ambassador.
The certificate presentation served as a powerful milestone, validating the hard work and dedication each student poured into their personal development. Graduates now enter the workforce with a versatile toolkit of practical skills designed to uplift their families and the broader community. Overall, the event highlighted the success of this collaboration in fostering sustainable livelihoods through education and creative empowerment.
