Your Excellences, dear colleagues, partners, guests, and friends,
Welcome to the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar, welcome to the beautiful and colourful field of nations, art and craft, and food diversity and unity!
As you know very well, the DSA is a voluntary organisation of spouses of diplomats accredited to Embassies and International organisations in Harare. Through our initiatives, we foster cultural exchange and goodwill between the diplomatic community and the people of Zimbabwe, support welfare projects benefiting vulnerable groups, particularly women and children, and strengthen friendships between Zimbabwe and the international community.
Our main projects in 2025 are the Jairos Jiri Children’s Centre – Recreational hall for the kids, and Garden project, “House of Smile”- at the Day-care Center, supporting street kids aged 6-18, as well as the Life Style Housekeeping Hub training project (fashion design and sewing skills) at the Lynde Francis Trust.
We expect to realize a few more projects that are already on our long list, but everything will depend on the amount of funds that we collect at the Bazaar.
For you here present, this Bazaar provides the chance to explore the world in one day without traveling, all while supporting important charitable causes. Very important is to announce that all proceeds from the Bazaar will go toward supporting various charitable projects across Zimbabwe, making a real impact on communities in need and bringing the tremendous changes in their life.
Here are 23 Embassies from all continents – Africa, Asia, Europe, Americas, please visit their stand and look on variety of country specialties, traditional foods beverages, handicrafts, clothing, souvenirs, national costume and folklore uniforms, you have the chance to see, sample and buy items from across the globe without leaving Zimbabwe.
We also have here our der local Zimbabwean business companies, vendors, social and non-governmental organisations, artists, craftsmen, and restaurant and cafeteria, I am sure that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Our exciting entertainment program, with performances all day, will show you famous and young artist who want to present themselves and support the charity work.
Like you have already seen, program is leading and moderating by our famous and unreplaceable icon of Diplomatic Bazaar Mrs. Zaza the Zazalicious One, together with two young and charmed co-MC who will look around the field and inform us about the attractive stalls, including the master kid’s class and stands plates.
Families are most welcome to visit kids’ corner, and all visitors also have the chance to buy raffle tickets at the DSA stall, with challenging prizes to win, coming to the DSA office from the Embassies and other sponsors representing the traditional art, jewellery, unique books, flight tickets, hotels accommodation, and stays at top lodges in Zimbabwe or private camps.
